Against the backdrop of the ongoing war, “Passport Preachers: Ukraine” is an extraordinary, one-of-a-kind film focusing on the major volunteer response to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and shares the war through the eyes of ordinary christians from around the world who answered the call and traveled to Ukraine to serve.
From award-winning director Alejandro DeHoyos, this film features exclusive on the ground footage of the refugee emergency unfolding along the borders, as well as interviews with international evangelists, volunteers, and Ukrainian citizens.
Join everyday heroes across Ukraine as they break bread, share fellowship, pray, and live out the book of acts in real time.

- Partnered with multiple Christian ministries across Ukraine and helped reach over 13 thousand salvations.
- Interviened in several human trafficaking situations and even saved a van full of women from being trafficked.
- Raised over $5000 and purchased medical supplies in Poland and delivered to the city of Lviv.
- Helped the local economy by sourcing aid, meals, lodging, and other goods from within Ukraine.

HELP US DELIVER AID TO UKRAINE
We have increased our Humanitarian Assistance Network, both inside Ukraine and around the world, to most accurately understand the immediate needs in Ukraine and establish the most secure and efficient supply chains. In this effort, we’re prioritizing humanitarian aid and services sourced within Ukraine in order to support the Ukrainian economy and ensure constructive support.

About the filmmaker
Crafting True Cinema
Alejandro is a powerhouse of energy. He’s a husband, father, humanitarian, missionary, and Emmy-winning filmmaker focused on global motivation & human conservation.
In addition to filming & producing for the NBA’s San Antonio Spurs, Alejandro travels the world with organizations to advance their mission with impactful cinematic storytelling.
Alejandro’s feature films & tv series have screened at festivals on five continents and on television in 135 countries.
Behind the camera, Alejandro is known for his dynamic Cinéma Vérité style (french: “truthful cinema”), crafting authentic narratives with rich characters, and the ability to capture fleeting, intimate moments. He has filmed in over 18 countries to document war zones, ancient holy sites, water crises, mission trips and religious expeditions.
Alejandro’s feature film series Passport Preachers has filmed on location in Ukraine, Cuba, Kenya, Uganda, Mexico, India, Honduras, and Argentina with plans for Uganda, Pakistan, and Israel next year.
At home in San Antonio he invests in his community by offering workshops, screenings, and internships.
